Chuck E. Cheese

Yesterday we took Chelsey to Chuck E. Cheese for the first time. Although it was crowded and the pizza was disgusting, we still had A LOT of fun!! Chelsey didn't care too much for the games but she loved people watching, watching Dad and Unkie Greg play games, and hanging out with Mom and Aunt Evie.
Here is dad cashing in the tickets (we got 256)
check out our loot!

Tagged

I've been tagged by my good friend Tiffany, so now I have write 10 truths about myself. I've decided to mix commonly known things with a few less commonly known. For those of you who don't know me too well you should learn a lot.

Here we go.
  1. My best friend is my sister Evie. I LOVE her. We shared a room for 12 years and now it's like we share a brain. Even though we are 6 years apart (she's younger than me), we get along really well and I feel like I can tell her anything.

  2. I had a really hard time learning to drive. A week after I got my permit I had a little accident in my parents' big huge van and it scared me so much that I didn't try driving again for like 2 years. I didn't end up getting my license until I was 18 and that was after I I failed my driving test the first time for hitting a curb while trying to parallel park. I happy to report that now I am a good driver, although I sometimes drive like an old woman.

  3. I have long toes. They are so long I can pick up just about anything with them. You'd be surprised how often this comes in handy, especially now that I'm a mom.

  4. I have pretty bad postpartum depression. It's getting better but I definitely have to keep it in check. When Chelsey was around 4-5 months old it was the worst. I would cry for no reason and I even started having panic attacks. It didn't help that there was other stuff going on that made me feel even more out of control. Now I have good days and bad days, and I get overwhelmed easily, but I do thank Heavenly Father every day for Chelsey because she has brought so much joy to my life.

  5. I started dating Bryan about a month before my 16th birthday. I had to hide it from my parents because I wasn't allowed to date until I was 16. And if I get technical I didn't Bryan and I went on our first date the day after my 16th birthday.

  6. I am terrified to have another baby! I just don't know how to prepare myself, or Chelsey.

  7. I'm 25 and just starting to discover who I am. Because of that I'm changing a lot and many people that have been in my life for a long time are having a hard time dealing with the more independent, outspoken me. But at the same time I am more confident with the person I am now than I ever have been before.

  8. I constantly doubt my skills as a mother. I'm just so worried that I'm going to screw up this beautiful little girl that I've been put in charge of. Fortunately she always has a smile or laugh that makes me doubt myself a little less.

  9. I'm a crazy mom. Chelsey is just now, at 10 months, starting to really eat people food. I come prepared to every doctor's appointment with about 2 pages of questions and information, just in case.

  10. TIFFANY- This one's just for you. I've been going through some old pictures and I found one from our nursery graduation. I don't really know what the truth in here but I thought you might like this picture!

Now it's my turn! I tag Mandy, Sher, and Jaime! Have fun!!!

Halloween Fun Part 1

We've been having so much fun enjoying the Halloween Spirit this year! There's so much more to do with a kid and we've been taking advantage of it. Here are some highlights from our Halloween celebrations so far.
~~~~~~
Laguna Hills Mall Pumpkin Patch
You can't see it here but there were tons of bubbles and Chelsey was just giggling up a storm
I LOVE this picture! She is so happy and you can see all her teeth.
~~~~~~

Beach Ward Halloween PartyChelsey is just hanging out on Greg's "branch"
Trunk or treating
Ok I look a little crazy but it's the only picture I have of Chelsey and I.
Evie and Greg were a tree hugger and a tree. Evie thought of it and Greg couldn't get out of it.
This is our friend Jaime and her daughter Kelsey
~~~~~~
Wheeler Family Halloween Party
I'm going to quickly explain Chelsey's Halloween costume. Back in August some of my aunt said she would make a cute Snow White, so that's what we did. I think they were so right.
Garrett was Indiana Jones.
We played stick the nose on the pumpkin...
...and ring the witch's hat
We bobbed for apples
and learned that Evie can fit an entire apple in her mouth.
We played a game where you had to shoot at these pumpkins with a squirt gun...
...but it just turned into a water fight. :)
We had a yummy dinner of "mummy toes" and "sloppy jack-o-lanterns" complete with a skull fountain.
We ended the night with the traditional Fackrell family game of seeing who could eat a donut off a string the fastest.
Chelsey almost got a donut...almost.
Evie and I dominated (because we have big mouths).
Pumpkin Patch
Last weekend Bryan's parents came up and we went to the Irvine Park Pumpkin patch. It was so much fun.
Chelsey fell in love with this pumpkin so we took it home. She carried it all around the park with her.
Disneyland!!!!
For my birthday this year I went to Disneyland! I had been looking forward to it since I heard about the get in free on your birthday promotion. I was also lucky enough to be able to go with Bryan, Chelsey, Rick, Kathy, and Kevin thanks to our cousin Kimberly who was able to sign Bryan and his parents in. (Thanks Kimberly!!!)
Chelsey was so good and we had SOOOOOOO much fun! Here are some pictures from our day.
We started out at It's a Small World because we wanted to see how Chelsey would do on the rides.
She LOVED it!
I mean REALLY LOVED IT!
Here she is with Grannie, Gran-dude, and Kevin.
We also went on Alice in Wonderland
She liked this house because it was just the right size
Evie this ones for you!
Making a wish in the wishing well
At first she wasn't too sure about the Haunted Mansion...
... but eventually she loved that too.
Then we went to California Adventure. Here she is with Uncle Kevin
She was fighting sleep...
..but she gave in after Uncle Kevin bought her a doggy to snuggle with. While she was sleeping the boys went on some big kids rides.
When she woke up we went back to Disneyland
She loved the carousal
We bought her Mickey ears
I tried to convince her to wear them, but she wasn't a big fan.
At the end of the day Chelsey wanted to stay...
...but the rest of us were beat.
It was an awesome day!
October challenge
Here is a link to this month's challenge from my cousin Stephanie.
Every Sunday this month, she will post a room in your house and you will have one week to complete the "TRIPLE D's":Deep Clean, DeClutter, Decorate.
Last week we were supposed to do the kitchen, but Chelsey's closet was calling to me so I did that instead. I'll do something in the kitchen this week along with my craft area which is this week's challenge.
